Stefanie Daubek
… is an independent Director / Producer based in Austria. Already in love with the arts from an early age, Stefanie began her professional path in cinematography, directing and producing culminating in her first award from the Austrian Ministry of Education in 2008. Since then her work has ranged from storytelling consultancy positions to working for big international brands and directing live stage performances until her interest in the moving image brought her back to TV. With a Master of Science focusing on Online Storytelling and Marketing Strategies as well as a Producing and Screenwriting class at the New York Film Academy, Stefanie was soon working in the German speaking TV market including working for channels like ORF, Red Bull TV, ServusTV, BR, SRF and production powerhouses like Degn Film.
Over the last years Stefanie has produced over 5,000 broadcast minutes of documentaries, television series, cultural and art films as well as digital content for the international media landscape. Her portfolio includes a weekly series for ServusTV “Zeitlos – Schule des Lebens”, historical documentaries “Hitler und die Kinder vom Obersalzberg” and “Lebensborn – die vergessenen Opfer,, a musical development documentary on “My Silent Night,” and a range of nature, adventure, art documentaries and museum works (for Humboldt Forum Berlin and for Salzburg Museum). Stefanie’s passion lies in telling untold stories, with an artistic approach that examines topics from different angles and allows them to unfold in their many layers.
„One very important aspect of motivation is the willingness to stop and to look at things that no one else has bothered to look at. This simple process of focusing on things that are normally taken for granted is a powerful source of creativity.“
– Edward de Bono
